Art Trade with *noblestallion

let me tell you that I'm rather proud of this, seriously alright this was supposed to be finished two weeks ago I think but all of you who know me do also know that I'm nearly never doing the things I told you.. mostly ^^'
So first of I had a totally diffrent idea for this at the beginning, then I saw my reference photo for this and was like 'damn I know what to do' so here you go maybe some of you will have a little deja-vu now considering the background. Imagine my picture 'Living Spirits' which I made nearly two years ago for a contest? Well because I LOVE lightning challenges and colored shading I thought hey why not trying this again? Sure the pose is completely diffrent and the whole concept is but looking at the water I have to say there are some simularities

I had the pleasure to trade with the awesome, the fantastic *noblestallion I'm so happy that she picked me out of all the great deviants that tried to get a trade, too. And Shiki this chap surely is special. I love his whole design with the stripes and colors.. just wonderful (: and somehow I realized that he kinda look a bit like my Minesh, colorwise Funny thing I would say
... but I think my extreme lightning in this killed his design a bit.. sorry for that dear

another thing for this:
I used some diffrent color techniques, somehow I like to experiment at moment I mostly tried to draw the fur the way =navybluestar does (: I have to say chapeau! it's sooo damn exhausting to draw every fur stroke by hand and it's amazing how she manages it every time again! yep she is awesome! <3
